About Tiffany Firebaugh

Tiffany Firebaugh is a writer and comedian in New York City, currently writing for the BoogieManja team Illumithoti. She received her training in both improv and sketch comedy at UCB, though her main love is sketch writing. Tiffany created, produced, co-wrote, and co-performed in a sketch comedy show about climate change called Common Ground which played at the PIT in the spring of 2018. Tiffany was once an athlete, so she’s really psyched to be on a team again through BoogieManja. She loves that she gets to be be really goofy every week with a bunch of other people who want to be goofy, too.

Tiffany Firebaugh Loves Writing

I’ll write you a poem, a TV pilot, a funny sketch, or a thoughtful essay. Maybe even a card! I just enjoy writing and would love to do it forever, in all of the ways.

Religion & Public Health
I write both reported pieces & opinion articles about Christianity in America. I’m interested in modern Christianity’s relationship with education & public health. I’m also drawn to the topics of Christian cultural memory of failure, changing views of heresy, and Christian apocalypticism.

My MPH from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health taught me to better understand systemic thinking and to look upstream. It informs so much of what I do. But in sum, I’ve learned that public health is a great way to love your neighbor. And sometimes I write about that!

You can find my articles under the “Christianity & Public Health” tab.

Comedy
My humor is probably best described as “full-tilt earnestness with high emotional stakes.” I especially love exploring the joy in little everyday moments of vulnerability. I wrote for a monthly sketch comedy show in NYC with my team Illumithoti for two years, and then COVID-19 struck.

You can check out my sketches under the “comedy” tab.
